Bellingham Southside. High end custom home with 4 bedrooms on the main floor and ZERO steps! Functional floor plan with top end finishes throughout, vaulted ceilings, 3 car attached garage, built-ins in the mud room and a 500 sqft bonus room upstairs.
The owners of this classic, early century, South Hill residence requested an extensive remodel and addition. The remodel consisted of a complete demolition of damaged walls, floors and ceilings, as well as several upgrades; a modern kitchen, custom built-in cabinets and window seats, and gas fireplaces.
The second story addition required complete removal of the roof to go up, adding a master bedroom suite and luxury bath to this home. The project also included all new electrical and mechanical systems upgrades and roof mounted integrated 7.41 kW solar system. A complete home transformation in only a 7 months!
A unique South Hill, infill lot with classic Bellingham bay views. Designed by Deborah Todd of Deborah Todd Building Design Services. This home is registered with the Built Green program and will achieve a 3 star rating. It incorporates many of the Built Green program principles in a very contemporary home.
Complete exterior and interior renovation of a historic home in Bellingham’s Letter Streets neighborhood. The home was built in 1907 and while needing a lot of love and attention, we worked hard to maintain it’s original look and feel. During construction we found several interesting items including an old gas light fixture and a love letter written to William Slater in Portland. The letter is a classic, referencing train travel and the fickle nature of Bellingham’s early electrical service.
We are excited to be playing a big role in the upgrading an a former drive through coffee house to a modern Verizon Wireless retail store located at 1200 Sunset Drive.
We are subcontracting to Oracle Contracting Service to complete the demolition and framing portions of the build. The completely renovated building includes a 400 square foot addition and various exterior design elements including tall parapets and large storefront glass windows and doors. We also created a custom framed arc for Verison signage which turned out beautifully, but was a complex element.
In April, 2015 we broke ground on a new retail building in partnership with developer Intergrand LLC. This project will be a beautiful addition to the urban renewal taking place on Samish Way in Bellingham.
This is a 3800 sq ft retail building with two units sharing the space. The new building will feature an open floor plan and will have both a retail store location and a restaurant location at 218 N Samish Way. The exterior is an interesting contemporary design by Zervas Architects.
This project consists of a beautiful expansion to an existing older home on Semiahmoo’s waterfront. The new addition showcases the amazing bay views and the open design invites the outside in. During phase II of the master plan the rest of the existing home will be upgraded and remodeled.
This project is being self-financed and Hindman Construction is able to accommodate the clients unique needs and construction timeline intervals.
This is a classic “conversion” project. Here we took an old and very rough garage and have made a studio apartment for our client. They wanted to restore the integrity of the structure and make the most of the limited space. We have added a full bath and kitchenette while maximizing the living space with a studio style.
This is a custom home framing project for PMC Development. It is a 2700 square foot home with custom finishes throughout. The framing is specialized with a “hand-cut” roof and maximized in every way for efficient use of space. It is located in the heart of historic Fairhaven and will have a classic NW craftsmen home look and feel.
